Update 7th April ~ We’re over the moon to confirm that Mia is pregnant! At her first ultrasound scan they have definitely seen at least 4 puppies, she goes back for another scan on 21st April so will see if they can find any more. Sometimes they are hard to spot early on or can be hidden.

Update 6th March 2026 ~ Bear and Mia had two successful matings on 4th and 6th March. Mia’s ultrasound will take place on 7th April 2026 at 10.45am. Please check back here for further pup-dates!

We are planning an outcross litter this year with our Swiss Shepherd male, Bear and the female shown above, Mia. Mia is a Border Collie x Siberian Husky.

The litter will be a mixture of around half solid White puppies that look like their Dad and the remainder will look like Mum with her Black and White markings.

The predicted genetic COI for the puppies is 0% making this a really genetically diverse litter with a very low chance of recessive health issues appearing.

We will be keeping one puppy back from this litter to join our Swish pack to add further genetic diversity to our outcross lines.

Mia as a Puppy

The mating will take place early March with pups likely to born around early May and then ready to leave for their new homes approx. end of June or early July 2026.
